From touchscreens, haptics, and typing on keyboards, the digital tools we use everyday are “high contact surfaces”. In simple terms, we touch them a lot.
How dirty does tech get?
A famously cited 2016 study by UX research firm, dscout, discovered that on average: mobile phone users tapped, swiped, and clicked their phones 2,617 times per day. A heavy user: 5,427 times a day. As a modern society, the attachment to mobile devices are embedded in our lifestyles: and that’s not entirely a negative. It’s never been easier to communicate with others. But a negative does exist: with every tap, swipe, scroll, and click, we’re carrying the dirt, smudges, fingerprints, dirt, & oil everywhere with us. It’s literally at our fingertips.
Another article by scientists at University of Arizona in 2019 supports this evidence, by concluding that personal electronics devices carry 10 times more bacteria than a toilet seat. That can be explained by the fact that bathrooms are likely staffed to clean toilets and surrounding areas nearly daily. Phones on the other hand, are not.
And that is why we built Squeak Tech Refresh. Formulated with ingredients known for their disinfecting and antimicrobial power. To truly clean and revitalize your electronics and tech devices.
Because your tech hygiene matters.
